Tips: What is an impact socket adapter?
The impact socket adapter is a connector that can change the square drive size of the socket. It is used to connect the socket and car impact wrench, which have different drive size. There are two types of “large to small” socket adapter and “small to large” socket adapter. For example, a 3/8″ drive car impact wrench is connected to a 1/2″ drive socket, or a 1/2″ drive electric impact wrench is connected to a 3/8″ drive socket, etc. All of these cases, an impact socket adapter is needed.
When in use, the torque must be controlled. The English socket and impact socket adapter are not in the same drive size range after conversion. If the torque is applied in the original drive size range, the socket or wrench will be damaged. The torque should be applied according to the specified tightening limit. Excessive torque will impose the load on the socket itself or the small bolt and damage the socket or the small bolt.
