The square-notch tile trowels have square or rectangular notches / teeth to form a mortar row with flat spaces between these notches. Such trowels are measured by the length, height, depth and spacing of the notches or teeth and they usually distribute more mortar than other trowels and the space between the rows leaves more room for the mortar to spread.
